The National Women’s History Project, founded in 1980, is a non-profit educational organization committed to recognizing the significant historical accomplishments of women. Now in its sixth year, the Festival’s growing reputation is built on a commitment to offering the region access to new and independently produced films by a wide range of emerging and established filmmakers.

The festival screens multiple films, including features, horror, animated shorts, documentaries, and international films. In addition, the event includes an opening night reception, artist tributes, presentations and panel discussions, and the ever-popular Mystery Box Challenge.
